The Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel called on European countries to restore dialogue with Moscow on security issues, despite the available disagreements. “We can achieve peace in Europe only with Russia,” Merkel said in a video post on September 2.
According to Merkel, Europe should make every effort to restore contacts with Russia, while Minsk agreements must be implemented to resolve the conflict in eastern Ukraine. The Chancellor also indicated the need to comply with the disarmament between Washington and Moscow.
Earlier, the Minister of Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel pointed out the importance of maintaining relations between the West and Russia.
