The German actor Lars Idinger placed on his Instagram a text in English, which, according to him, was a letter of director Kirill Serebrennikov, which he handed over to him during his last arrival in Germany and asked to publish in the event of his arrest. The actor was accompanied by a hashtag #freekirill.
Edinger later deleted this text from his Instagram.
The author of the text insists on his innocence and calls for "not to succumb to the provocations of some political swindlers who are trying to make money on any story that can be used to discredit the authorities."
“After the initiation of the criminal case, I heard various fabrications regarding myself,” the document further says. “I even received from the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko a proposal to head one of the Ukrainian theaters and make a propaganda film with the financial support of the state. I am grateful for such attention to my person, but I want to say that I am not a politician. I am not a politician. I am not the director. I do not want me to be used in someone’s dirty dirty interests ".
Why the letter was published only on the evening of September 3, almost two weeks after Serebrennikov’s sending under house arrest, Iding did not explain. It is also incomprehensible when a German actor could receive a letter from Serebrennikov. Already at the end of May, after the first searches in the case of the Seventh Studio, the director, despite the fact that at that time he had only the status of a witness, seized a passport. Thus, after the news of the initiation of the case, Serebrennikov could not go abroad.
Among the acting work of Audingra is the role of Nicholas II in the film by Alexei Master Matilda.
In the commentary of RBC, published on Monday, the lawyer Serebrennikov Dmitry Kharitonov regarded the published document as a provocation. “There was no letter to Kirill Serebrennikov to Lars Auder,” the lawyer assured. “Cyril did not send him anything and asked for any help. Neither this nor last year.”
