The teacher’s film is dedicated to the novel by Nicholas II with the ballerina Matilda Kshesinskaya. The campaign against him began last fall the former prosecutor of the annexed Crimea Poklonskaya. She submitted a number of denunciations to the director, in which she stated that “Russia is presented in the film as a country of gallows, drunkenness and fornication,” and in addition, the picture insults “persons officially canonized”, including Nicholas II. In this regard, Poklonskaya demanded to verify the legality of spending budget funds allocated for the shooting of Matilda.
