The court left Kirill Serebrennikov under arrest

The Moscow City Court left director Kirill Serebrennikov under house arrest. TASS reports this. The director himself called the case “fabricated” in the courtroom.

At the same time, Serebrennikov was allowed two-hour walks. The court limited them to the Khamovniki district, where the director lives. Serebrennikov will be able to walk only from 18:00 to 20:00.

Serebrennikov's defense also petitioned for access to the director for a cleaning lady and a clergyman. In addition, the lawyers sought permission for the client to visit the theater. The court denied these requests.

On August 22, the Investigative Committee detained the director and artistic director of the Gogol Center, Kirill Serebrennikov. He has been charged with fraud on an especially large scale. The next day, the court sent the director under house arrest for two months.
