Volkswagen recalls 7670 Multivans in Russia

Volkswagen Group Rus LLC, which is the official representative of Volkswagen on the Russian market, is recalling 7,670 VW Multivan vehicles sold from 2014 to 2016, Rosstandart reports.

The reason for the revocation is indicated as a possible impact on its own branch

belt tensioner and guide roller. It is explained that this defect can lead to premature wear and, in some cases, to breakage of the poly-wedge
belt

The recalled Volkswagen Multivan will be tested
Replacing the belt tensioner and poly V-belt.

Multivan owners can independently determine whether
their vehicle is under recall by matching the VIN with the one included on
list on the Rosstandart website and contact the nearest dealership. All
repair work will be free for car owners.
