The authorities forgot to inform Muscovites about the September 10 elections

According to the law, the election commissions had to notify citizens about the date and place of the elections 10 days before the vote, but this did not happen. Only a few days ago, activists and candidates themselves drew attention to the lack of announcements of elections of municipal deputies in most areas of the city.

Complaints to Tiki practically did not change the situation - it seems that the only party, interested in the fact that citizens still do not forget about the elections, are now opposition candidates. Meanwhile, a high turnout was recorded during early voting. The "new" figured out who decided to "dry" the elections in Moscow.

Five days before a single voting day on social networks, publications began to appear that Mitino, Khoroshevsky and Krasnoselsky districts were not informed citizens where to vote in the elections on September 10. The correspondent of Novaya Gazeta personally bypassed the Basmann and Tagansky districts, as well as the bird cherry and made sure that there really was no election of elections.

At information stands near the entrances, you can see a memo in case of emergency situations, instructions for protection from scammers, addresses and phone numbers of management companies, and even advertising of supermarkets. About the elections - not a word.

In the Tagansky district, there are no stands for such ads in some houses.

There is no announcement of elections in the district newspapers existing on budget money. We open the newspaper "Moscow.info" of September 4. On the pages of the publication, Muscovites tell where you can celebrate the City Day how to protect yourself from influenza and buy a ticket to the museum online. There is not a word about where to vote. In the latest issue of the newspaper "My District" in CAO - tips for preparing children for school and recipes for apple jams. They are not reminded of the elections.

In the newspaper "Evening Moscow" we find an interview with Joseph Kobzon, data on a decrease in consumer prices in Russia, a photograph from the Borodino Military Historical Museum, the Luzhnikov reconstruction project, a report from the Moscow Peoples festival, and again no election announcements.

Later it turned out that there are still ways to make election commissions about the upcoming elections. Dorogomilovo candidate Vladimir Egorov, threatening to complain to the CEC, MGIK and the prosecutor's office, achieved the result from the PEC - on September 5, information appeared in the area for voters. According to Yegorov, he took care of the readiness of the stands for ads in advance and two months ago asked the head of the council to fix them.

“I studied statistics in my area. The results turned out to be as follows: with a 30 % turnout, the candidate from the authorities wins, if the turnout rises to 32–35 %, then the chances of winning and opposition candidates are aligned if the number of those who appears will win the opposition. The number of voters who vote for those whom they say does not change - these are state employees and elderly people who are served by social workers. Thus, the fewer people come to the polls, the better for the authorities, ”says Egorov.

In response to the inaction of the election commission, the Solidarity movement decided to take emergency measures. “The Mosizbirk does everything to win, against the backdrop of a low turn, the candidate from United Russia won. We will take the work of the election commission. Solidarity has a large plan on how to inform people. I would not want to disclose his details, ”said Ilya Yashin, one of the leaders of“ Solidarity ”and a candidate for the Mundy of the Krasnoselsky District.

The ex-deputy of the State Duma Dmitry Gudkov, who organized the headquarters for the preparation of candidates for municipal deputies, said that obstacles from the city administration were expected, and therefore activists began bypassing apartments.

“Maybe now agitation from the opposition candidates is invisible, but not posters decide everything, but walking around the apartments. We have 1000 people go and inform people about elections and candidates. Approximately 20 % open the doors to us. From the very beginning, we perfectly understood that the authorities would try to drain the elections, so we are engaged in the venom ourselves, ”he explained.

Data on early voting, which started on August 30, is said that the Muscovites are known about the election - the turnout here is unexpectedly high.

“Vosterers are used, not those who are brought up, but real ones. In the ticks they are not allowed to vote, they are required for documents confirming the departure. According to the classification of “Voices”, usually 7-10 people per day, voted ahead of schedule, is a sign of falsifications. But this year everything is not at all. People consciously come to give their vote. I think that on September 10, you can expect a high turnout, ”said Julia Galyamin, candidate in the Timiryazevsky district.

Dmitry Gudkov calls on those interested in the changes of Muscovites to come to the polls. If this does not happen, then the authorities will bring 500 state employees to sections, and their candidates will win, the politician recalls.

“We already have a success story in Schukino, where out of 15 deputies are eight independent. There, the head of the council reports for each penny. Even if democratic candidates become the second, third, fourth in a row, they will still go to the Council of Deputies, ”Gudkov concludes.

On Wednesday, it became known that President Vladimir Putin was going to vote for candidates for municipal deputies, who decided to take advantage of his active election in the elections of this level for the first time. It is obvious that the actions of the Moscow City Writer are in direct contradiction with the political position of the head of state.
