In Murmansk, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, after a call from the administration of the regional governor, excluded all volunteers from the headquarters of Alexei Navalny from the list of observers. Violetta Grudina, coordinator of the headquarters, told OVD-Info about this by phone.
“We didn’t particularly advertise anywhere that the volunteers of Navalny’s headquarters are participating in election observation, lists with our names have already been submitted to the Territorial Election Commission (TEC). Today, the head of the electoral association from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Yuri Viktorovich Vatalin, called me and said that he was forced to remove headquarters volunteers from the lists of observers from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, ”says Grudina.
Vatalin explained the exclusion from observers by the fact that Anatoly Vekshin, deputy governor of the Murmansk region, called the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and demanded that all volunteers of Navalny's headquarters be removed from the lists of observers.
