
Today, September 7, at a press conference in Moscow, the jury of the Russian Booker literary prize for the best novel in Russian announced the “Long List” of 2017.
In 2017, 80 works were nominated to participate in the award competition, 75 of them were admitted to the competition, the website of the “Russian Boker” is regulated .
“The jury, having dismantled 75 of the presented novels, sometimes very unexpected, both deep and odious, came to the conclusion that 19 of them deserve to get into the long list,” commented the results of the nomination, the chairman of the jury of the “Russian Boker” of 2017, the poet and prose writer Peter Aleshkovsky.
Long list of Russian Boker 2017:
The “short list” of six finalists will be published on October 26, the laureate will be announced on December 5.
The size of the prize prize fund has not changed this year: the laureate will receive 1.5 million rubles, finalists - 150 thousand rubles each.
The Russian Bookter literary prize has been awarded since 1992. Last year, Peter Aleshkovsky received the award for the novel “Fortress”.
