Dali is not the father of a woman who has achieved his exhumation for a DNA test

The DNA test of Salvador Dali showed that the Spanish Pilar Abel Martinez did not have to be an illegitimate daughter. This was announced by the Gala-Salvador Dali Foundation.

The remains of the artist exhumed at the end of July in connection with the claim of Martinez on the establishment of paternity. The forensic experts opened the coffin and took biological material, which was sent to the National Institute of toxicology and the forensic examination of Spain.

Since 2007, Pilar Abel Martinez has tried to establish that she is the artist’s biological daughter. According to her, she learned about her origin from her mother, who was a housekeeper in Dali's house. The mother allegedly revealed the secret of her birth only shortly before his death.

If Martinez proved kinship with Dali, she would be able to claim his surname and part of the inheritance that the artist bequeathed to Spain.

Salvador Dali is considered one of the most famous representatives of surrealism. He died in 1989, was embedded and buried in his hometown of Figuraz in Catalonia.
