A new large flash occurred in the sun

The Laboratory of X -ray astronomy of the Sun Fian notes that the level of outbreak activity was 10.3. Such a value is located outside the conventional color scale, which has five values ​​(from green to yellow, orange, red and maximum, purple, levels of activity of the Sun) and corresponds to the so -called black (higher) level of activity.

According to Russian scientists, the last powerful outbreak in the sun can lead to failure of space technology and communication systems. As reported, such cases have already been recorded in Europe and America. According to forecasts, the emission of the solar matter can also cause a strong magnetic storm.

Five chambers were installed on his board to shoot the Earth’s surface in the visible and infrared range, devices for collecting data on temperature and moisture of the atmosphere, as well as detectors for fixing X -ray flashes in the sun, charged particles and devices for monitoring the state of the magnetosphere. This satellite is the main source of data on solar outbreaks.

Observations of the last flashes in the sun are made only by foreign space observatories, the Fian laboratory is noted . The only Russian solar project with the launch in the current Federal Space Program of the Russian Federation (observatory with the working name of the arch) was scheduled only for 2024, the report said.
