Apple may face a supply shortage of new iPhones after a production glitch occurred during the assembly of new models over the summer. The Wall Street Journal about this . told Sources
According to sources, due to the glitch, the production schedule had to be delayed by almost a month. To speed up the assembly process, Foxconn Technology Group has to attract new workers to its plant in China.
WSJ notes that about 250 thousand people worked at the plant in June, but representatives of Apple and Foxconn did not comment on the information.
The presentation of the new iPhone is scheduled to take place on September 12. As WSJ previously reported, the event will present the iPhone 8 with a frameless screen and glass body in a new design, as well as the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus models in a design identical to the previous generation.
