The main person involved in the first (Sevastopol) case of the Crimean Muslims Ruslan Zeitullaev, sentenced to 15 years in a strict regime on charges of membership in Hizb Ut-Tahrir, was taken to IK-2 strict regime in the city of Salavat in Bashkiria. This was reported by "Crimea. Realiy" with reference to the lawyer Eden Semedlyaev.
The correctional colony in Salavat has a bad reputation. In May 2015, the prisoners held there protests that were provoked by bullying from both the administration and the “activists” cooperating with it.
32-year-old Zeytullaev-a worker worker from the village of Orlinin within the annexed Sevastopol. He was arrested on January 23, 2015. According to the plot of the case, which was led by the Crimean Glavk of the FSB, at the end of March 2014, Zeytullaev organized in the villages of Orlin, the rear and assault Balaklava district of Sevastopol, as well as in other parts of the city, the Hizb Ut-Tyrir cell for the creation of the Crimean Vilaifat in Sevastopol as an administrative unit of the World Caliphate. It is claimed that from three other persons involved in the case - Nuri (Yuri) Primov, Rustem Vaitov and Ferat Saifullaev - he demanded the propaganda of the ideas "Hizb Ut -Tahrir", to recruit new members, and later organize his own units of this structure.
In the investigation, all four political zones refused to testify. Zeytullaev did not testify during the first process in the case, which was held in the North Caucasus District Military Court in Rostov in the middle of last year.
In the debate of the parties, the prosecutor Gennady Trukhanov requested 17 years of strict regime under Part 1 of Article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code (organization of the terrorist organization), eight for Saifullaev, and for Primov and Vaitov - seven years of the general regime in part 2 of the same article (participation in the activities of such an organization).
However, the Judicial College, chaired by Vyacheslav Korsakov on September 7, 2016, re -qualified Zeitullaev’s accusation from part 1 of Article 205.5 to Part 2 and gave him seven years of general regime. The remaining three political zones received the minimum terms provided for by the Code - five years of general regime.
None of the defendants pleaded guilty. Speaking with the last word, they announced the political motivation of the case .
Meanwhile, the prosecutor's office appealed the sentence to Zeytullaev. On December 27, 2016, the college of the Armed Forces, as part of Igor Krupnov, Alexander Zamashnyuk and Sergey Sokkerin, canceled the sentence to the main defendant and confirmed the decisions in relation to the other three.
At the beginning of this year, Primov, Vaitova and Saifullaev was sent to the colony. Primov is contained in the Mari IK-5 in the village of Yasius Sovetsky District, Vaitov-in IK-1 in Kurgan, and Saifullaev-in the Kirov IK-17 in Omutninsk. The last two colonies have a torture reputation.
Meanwhile, the case of Zeytullaev since February this year has been considered in Skovs again. In the debate, the same prosecutor Trukhanov again demanded a 17-year period for Zeytullaev. However, on April 26, the college, chaired by Anatoly Kolesnik, agreeing with the qualifications of the case under Part 1 of Article 205.5, gave Politsyk 12 years of strict regime , that is, a term below the lower limit.
The prosecutor’s office repeatedly appealed the verdict, and the college of the Armed Forces as part of Alexander Voronov (chairman), Oleg Derbilov (Judge-Player) and Dmitry Saburov increased the period of up to 15 years. A year of restriction of freedom after leaving the colony was appointed as an additional punishment (
Since April of this year, Zeytullaev held hunger strikes three times. The requirements of the latter were the admission of the Ukrainian Ombudsman Valeria Lutkovskaya, the Genconsul of Ukraine in Rostov Vitaly Moskalenko and Russian human rights defenders and journalists, as well as his return to Ukraine and the cessation of the persecution of Crimean Tatars.
