Convicted in the United States by 27 years in prison for cyber abundance Roman Seleznev, the son of a State Duma deputy from the LDPR Valery Seleznev, pleaded guilty to two new episodes. This is stated in the message on the website of the US Ministry of Justice.

The first episode concerns hacking in 2008 by RBS WorldPay, which makes money transfers. The Georgia prosecutor’s office accuses Seleznev of cashing more than $ 2 million with hacking credit cards. The verdict on this episode will be issued on December 11.

On the charges of Nevada put forward in the state of Nevada, Seleznev admitted to the sale of Carder.su to members of credit cards in 2009. Losses from their activities are estimated at at least $ 50 million. In just a few cases, the charges were brought by 55 members of this organization. To date, 33 people have been convicted. The rest are wanted, or their cases were taken for consideration by ships.

On July 5, 2014, Seleznev was arrested by American agents at the Airport of the Maldives of the Male. He was accused of cyber abundance and embezzlement of data from bank details. The US prosecutor's office said that the secret agents of the secret service, when arrested, seized a laptop from Seleznev with more than 2 million stolen data of credit cards. The indictment included, however, only 1.7 million numbers.

After the detention, Seleznev was transported to prison on the island of Guam, and then transported to the United States. Valery Seleznev, as well as the Russian Foreign Ministry, was called an arrest by kidnapping.

In January 2015, in response to the expansion of the Magnitsky list, four US citizens involved in Seleznev’s arrest was closed to Russia .

Seleznev at the investigation refused to plead guilty. On August 25, 2016, in Seattle, the jury found Seleznev guilty of 38 of 40 prosecution points.

On April 19, it became known that Seleznev pleaded guilty . However, the prosecution considered that he did not deserve condescension, despite his testimony. In the Memorandum sued, the prosecutors called Seleznev's efforts to cooperate with the investigation of the "belated".

On April 21, the Federal Court in Seattle sentenced Seleznev to 27 years in prison. Judge Richard Jones said that they guilty of guilt after the jury "did not correspond to the expectations of the court." The prosecutors demanded 30 years for Seleznev. At the same time, as noted in the memorandum, which prosecutors filed a lawsuit, Seleznev could face a lifetime imprisonment on the charges of the prosecution.

Lawyer Igor Litvak read out the statement of Seleznev in the court, in which he called the sentence "undeserved" and "equivalent to the mortal", and also asked for help from the Russian authorities. "As a citizen of Russia, I send a message to the officials of my country: please help me, I beg you," the statement said. Valery Seleznev called the verdict against his son "predetermined and cannibalist."
