In Komsomolsk-on-Amur, former campaign headquarters coordinator Alexei Navalny and City Duma deputy Oleg Pankov were arrested for 25 days. This was reported to the OVD-Info hotline by Sergey Naumov.
Pankov was found guilty of violating the procedure for holding a public event (Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
Naumov said that on September 6 he organized an election picket in which Pankov participated. During the event, an employee of the administration made a remark to Naumov that Pankov, who at that time was handing out leaflets, had moved far from the object being picketed. When asked about the radius within which the participants of the event should be, she did not answer, but threatened to draw up a protocol.
After that, Pankov decided to go to another district of the city to distribute propaganda newspapers outside the picket - as part of the election campaign. Naumov reported this action to the administration and the police, and noted that after leaving Pankov would not be considered a participant in the event. Employees, according to Naumov, did not like this decision, but at that moment they did not do anything.
On September 7, a protocol was drawn up against Pankov on violating the procedure for holding a picket. The next day, he was summoned for interrogation, and then sent to a court hearing. The verdict became known on September 9 - Pankov was arrested for 25 days. Immediately after the announcement, the oppositionist went on a hunger strike for the entire term of detention.
In July, Oleg Pankov said that employees of the Center for Combating Extremism tried to make him their informant, threatening to open a criminal case against his son otherwise.
