The ex-president of Georgia and the former governor of the Odessa region of Ukraine Mikhail Saakashvili, deprived of Ukrainian citizenship in July, broke into the territory of Ukraine from Poland with battle. It is reported by Ukrainian Pravda.
Saakashvili’s intention to arrive on Sunday to Ukraine became known in advance. On Saturday, hundreds of Saakashvili supporters arrived at the Krakovets border post in the Lviv region; They defeated the tent camp at night. By the morning, the number of people exceeded 1000 people. In particular, the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada Semen Semenchenko (former commander of the Donbass battalion) and Yegor Sobolev arrived to meet the former governor. At the border post, a scene for a rally was installed.
At the same time, the “Krakowets” arrived and titles. They tried to disrupt the planned meeting. In the movement of new forces - the parties of Saakashvili - stated that the actions of the titles are coordinated by the police. It was the security forces, said the supporters of the former governor, who brought six buses with hooligans to the border post.
At lunch, the police detained more than 100 citizens in camouflage, armed with gas cans, a starting gun and certain metal objects. It was reported that four detainees have a criminal record. Whether Saakashvili had in mind or supporters of Saakashvili, it is not clear from the publication.
Around noon, the activist Femen came out with a naked torso and in striped stockings on the highway near Krakowets. One stocking was white-red (in the colors of the Polish flag), the second-blue-yellow (in Ukrainian colors). In her hands, the activist held portraits of Saakashvili and President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, and on her chest was written "Fools Without Borders" (English "Fools without borders").
"The Femen act is aimed at demonstrating the entire depth of cynical idiocy, arranged by the Ukrainian -Georgian duet on the Ukrainian -Polish border, - the group said on the group’s website." The low -grade political show with the participation of Ukrainian and Georgian titles is designed to divert attention from hunger, war and violence. "
Meanwhile, Saakashvili on Sunday morning was in the city of Zheshuv (Ryashev) in the southeast of Poland. A politician’s press conference was planned there, which, however, in the end was canceled. From Zhenyuva, Saakashvili, with his wife and son, headed to the border city of Pshmysl (Przemysl). He was accompanied by a number of Ukrainian politicians, including the leader of the "Fatherland" Yulia Tymoshenko, the former director of the SBU, the likely candidate of the president of Ukraine Valentin Nalyvaichenko and the group of deputies of the Verkhovna Rada.
In Pshymysl Saakashvili, with his supporters, got into the Ukrainian train "INTERSITI+", heading to Kyiv. However, the train brigade announced on a speakerphone to passengers that the composition would not move until the former governor leaves the train. “The Ukrainian government violates the rights of citizens of Ukraine and other countries on the territory of Poland!” Wrote on his FB page, former adviser to the director of the SBU Markiyan Lubkivsky, who also accompanied Saakashvili. “We told the Polish police about the crime. Hundreds of passengers are now hosted on a train in Przemysl!”
It was reported that the instruction was not to go until Saakashvili leaves the train, the head of the composition was given by the Ukrzalizitsa administration.
The former governor called the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladimir Omelyan Poroshenko's ministry. He also said that the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland Mariusz Blashchak personally intervened in the situation for the train to go to Kyiv.
The passengers "Intersіtі+" were offered to return to Ukraine by buses, promising to compensate for the cost of tickets. Some people took advantage of this proposal.
As a result, Saakashvili got off the train. The composition left Przemysl about three hours later planned.
At about 18 o’clock, the former governor with his supporters arrived on the border with the Ukrainian border company "Shegini". After a short test, the Polish security forces launched a Saakashvili bus from the country. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian border guards refused to allow the former governor to do their territory, saying that the border room was mined.
It was reported that Saakashvili intends to return to Poland and apply for evidence of a stateless person. If there was such a certificate, Ukraine would not have legal grounds to refuse to go at the entrance.
However, in the end, hundreds of Saakashvili supporters from the Ukrainian side of the border staged a fight with the security forces, and in the established brawl, the former governor penetrated the country. The deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Mustafa Nayyem, who accompanied Saakashvili from Poland, placed the corresponding announcement on Facebook at 20:34.
After that, the politician got into the car and headed for Lviv. When asked how he intends to “further move to Kyiv,” Saakashvili answered: “Today we will gather in Lviv, probably, in the nearest city - and we will decide.”
A source in the State Border Service of Ukraine informed Ukrainian Pravda that about 700 supporters of the former governor participated in the seizure of the Schegin border post.
The first performance by Saakashvili upon returning to Ukraine:
Poroshenko issued a decree on the deprivation of Saakashvili Ukrainian citizenship on July 26 , when the former governor was abroad. The reason for such a measure in the State Migration Service of Ukraine was called that in the questionnaire of the applicant citizenship, the politician allegedly indicated incorrect information. He, officials explained, said that he was not under investigation outside Ukraine, while in his homeland - in Georgia - he was at that time arrested in absentia.
Meanwhile, the information about the absentee arrest of Saakashvili at the time of providing him with Ukrainian citizenship by the decree of Poroshenko was well -known.
The Verkhovna Rada deputy from the bloc of Petro Poroshenko, Vladimir Aryev, published a Facsimile of the document presented as the Saakashvili questionnaire. However, the former governorsaid that the document was faked - the signature under the questionnaire does not belong to him.
The politician repeatedly assured that he intends to return to Ukraine. He promised to challenge the deprivation of citizenship in court .
