Sergei Mikhailov filed a new lawsuit against Navalny

Businessman Sergei Mikhailov filed a new lawsuit against opposition politician Alexei Navalny, reports with reference to the press secretary of the Lublinsky Court of Moscow Lyudmila Morozova. Interfax

“The court received a lawsuit in which Mikhailov asks to recognize the information disseminated on the website navalny.com in the material under the heading “After all, Putin gave a watch to S. Mikhailov, the head of the Solntsevskaya organized crime group” as untrue and asks the court to oblige the defendants to remove it,” - said Morozova.

This is not the businessman’s first lawsuit against Navalny. In early August, the court refused to satisfy Mikhailov’s claim for protection of honor and dignity. The businessman demanded that Navalny remove the film “The Seagull” about Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika and refute the statement in which he is called the leader of the Solntsevo organized crime group nicknamed Mikhas and a criminal authority, and also collect 500 thousand rubles in compensation for moral damage from Navalny and FBK.

On August 7, Navalny published a post that in court Mikhailov’s lawyer showed an order from President Vladimir Putin to reward the businessman with a personalized watch. The politician claimed that Mikhailov had previously denied that Putin had given him a watch. The Kremlin press service also officially rejected this information.

At the end of August, Mikhailov said that the Solntsevo organized crime group does not exist, since it is “not registered” anywhere and demanded an apology from Navalny.
