The court arrested the head of the Rosneft-Sakhalinmorneftegaz company Andrei Bardin

The Tagansky District Court of Moscow, until November 9, arrested the general director of the Rosneft-Sakhalinmorneftegaz company, Andrei Bardin, suspected of corruption, a reports from the courtroom. RIA Novosti correspondent

The general director of a Rosneft subsidiary was arrested on suspicion of committing commercial bribery on an especially large scale (Part 8, Article 204 of the Criminal Code).

During the hearing, Bardin did not admit guilt.

“I did not extort, did not make obstructive actions so that the director was not allowed to attend the events, this is done on commission, I cannot influence it. This comrade, the commercial director... we had a bad relationship with them. We filed a complaint against him at the police department, since there was a suspicion that he did not dispose of waste, but buried it,” said the arrested person.

According to Bardin, he flew to Moscow from Sakhalin because “the company called him.” The arrested man claims that the director of a commercial company himself asked him to meet, but he does not know how the money ended up in his car. Bardin clarified that the meeting took place at a gas station.

Bardin was detained on September 10. According to investigators, in Moscow he received 1 million rubles from a businessman for assistance in participating in the competition. For this amount, the general director promised not to interfere with the organization’s bidding. Bardin was detained while handing over the money.
