Ukrainian citizen Pavel Grib has been charged with facilitating terrorist activities (Part 1 of Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code), lawyer Andrei Sabinin, who represents the interests of the arrested person, told Mediazona.
In August 2017, 19-year-old Ukrainian Grib went to Belarus to meet a girl he met on the Internet. Soon the young man disappeared. His father, former border guard Igor Grib, who now serves as a chaplain, claimed that his son was kidnapped by FSB officers.
On September 8, it became known that Pavel was in a pre-trial detention center in Krasnodar. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry protested the arrest and demanded the release of the detainee.
“I met him, saw him. Outwardly he looks normal,” Sabinin said. The lawyer was given a non-disclosure agreement. His client is being held in pre-trial detention center-5.
