The General Director of the Bolshoi Theater Vladimir Urin asked the TFR to allow him to meet with the arrest, director Kirill Serebrennikov, who was under house arrest, to discuss the fate of the Nureyev ballet. This is reported by Interfax.
According to Urin, the investigator said that he was ready to allow him to meet with the director. However, so far the director did not receive official permission.
“From my point of view, a lot has been done along the line of Cyril Semenovich. The performance, from my point of view, can be released. But now it will depend on one specific person - what decision Kirill Serebrennikov will make, whether he will allow us to release the performance without him, or we will wait until the situation is resolved,” Urin noted. “As soon as our meeting will be held, I will immediately inform you.”
On July 6, the Bolshoi Theater announced that the premiery shows of Nureyev were canceled on July 11-14. According to Urin, this was due to the fact that the administration "did not calculate the scale of the performance and the time that is necessary for it" and for the final preparation of the production, additional rehearsals are needed. It was argued that the performances were postponed not even for the next season, but for the 2018-2019 season. The Director of the Bolshoi then explained this by the fact that the plan for the coming season has already been fully drawn up.
However, a few days later, Urin gave a special press conference at which he announced that the premiere of Nureev would be held the next season -May 4-5, 2018. Serebrennikov was not at a press conference.
On July 10, reports appeared that the premiere of ballet was postponed by the personal instructions of the head of the Ministry of Culture Vladimir Medinsky.
On May 23 , searches were held at home at Serebrennikov , as well as in the Gogol Center he headed by him and at other addresses in the framework of the theft in the "Seventh Studio" founded by the director.
Initially, Serebrennikov was a witness in the case. However, on August 22, the director was detained. The next day, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow granted the investigation and sent Serebrennikov under house arrest until October 19 ( 
On September 4, the Moscow City Court confirmed the decision of the district court, but softened the conditions for serving house arrest. Now Serebrennikov is allowed by the nightly two -hour walks within its area.
