Some were sent here in the direction, others were born in the families of the repressed, the others arrived themselves - for a "long ruble".
People from all over the Soviet Union gathered in Vorkut, but the country fell apart, and numerous miner villages around the city turned into ruins, on which people still live.
"We were driven here" - so they say. At first they drove to the far north, and then into a half -empty five -story building, next to which there is not even a pharmacy, and the autolavka arrives twice a week.
Invisible to themselves, people themselves became part of the ruins, the local administration and management companies that allegedly serve the resettled houses are profitable. Residents write letters to Vladimir Putin, but no longer hope that someone will hear them.
The film by Sergey Khazov-Cassia, Andrei Kostyanov and Peter Solovyov.
