Wanting to ensure the development of the Russian Academy of Sciences as a modern scientific organization, which unions on the basis of democratic principles and plays a key role in the formation and implementation of the country's scientific and technical policy, we decided to combine our efforts in the presidential election campaign in the subsequent period.
We believe that joint actions should be based on the pre -election programs published by us, which have the proximity of most of the fundamental provisions. On issues in which our positions do not fully coincide, we will look for optimal compromise solutions with the participation of members of the Academy and the Scientific Community.
In accordance with the above, academician A. R. Khokhlov calls on members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, who intended to vote for his candidacy, to support the election of the candidacy of academician A. M. Sergeyev.
