From the "Long List" the jury of the Boker chose six final books:
“The short list of this year, which included six unique and pierced atmosphere of courage of books, which together opposed the boundaries of conventions, is both the recognition of authors with a name and introduces new names to the literary scene. Funny, sincere, sad and ruthless - this group of novels is based on traditions, but also has the features of radicality and modernity. The emotional, cultural, political and intellectual spectrum of these books is outstanding, and those methods by which they challenge our thinking are evidence of the power of literature, ”the commentary of the chairman of the jury Lola Young quotes .
Two novels were not included in the short list, which were considered favorites: The Ministry of Utmost Happiness Buker Laureate of the Arundati Roy (India) and the Underground Railo, Colson Whitheda (USA), The Pulitzer Prize received this year.
The winner of the award and the owner of a cash prize of 50 thousand pounds will be announced in London on October 17.
