Russian diplomats can be fined for breeding a fire at a consulate in San Francisco

Russian diplomats from the US authorities in San Francisco were accused of violating urban laws after they divorced a fire in the courtyard of the building, writes the BBC.

On September 1, black smoke was noticed over the building of the Russian consulate. It soon became clear that the consulate employees, the closure of which the US authorities declared, divorced a large bonfire. What they burned is unknown for certain.

The authorities of San Francisco considered that the diplomats burned a certain garbage in the yard, and it was forbidden to do this in the city. For this offense, diplomats may be sentenced to fine.

On August 31, the US government demanded that Russia close the Consulate General in San Francisco, at the same time Russia was supposed to close one diplomatic facility in Washington and New York. As the US State Department noted, the closure of the Gennko-USSRISION in San Francisco and other measures were a response to an “unreasonable and harmful” reduction in the US diplomatic mission in Russia.

A few days later, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs published on his Facebook a series of video recordings “Inspection by the FBI by the Russian General Consulate in San Francisco.”
