The Maykop City Court canceled its own decision to recognize the extremist article “The Silence of the Yagnit” by Valery Brinich, who included in the list of extremist materials in December 2014, Andrei Sabinin, lawyer of the Agora international human rights group, told Mediazone.
Sabinin, together with lawyer Alexander Popkov, represents the interests of the ecologist Brinich, who was instructed by the case under Article 282 of the Criminal Code (excitement of hatred or hostility). The case was terminated at the request of the prosecutor's office and the department appealed to the court with a request to cancel the decision to recognize the material extremist.
Mediazona wrote in detail about the case of the head of the Institute of Regional Biological Research by Brinich, earlier - director of the Daurian and Caucasian reserves. According to the investigation, he handed over the text of the article “Silence of the lamb” to “unidentified persons”. The material about the problems with the ecology that arose due to the activities of the Kiev-Zhuraki AIC pig farm was published on the Zakrasnodar.su website.
The case was brought to Brinich because of the expressions in the penultimate paragraph of the article, which, according to the ecologist, did not write. In this passage, by decision of the examination, the inhabitants of Adyge were characterized as “cowards”, “persons who do not have their own dignity”, “lambs”.
