However, during the event there was a curiosity: the senior vice president of Apple Craig Federigi could not unlock the iPhone with the help of a new function. The incident was called the Face ID failure, which could not earn even during her own presentation.

Later, journalists drew attention to the image on the screen of a smartphone that tried to unlock Federigi. It turned out that the iPhone demanded a password because the Face ID was not activated.

According to data from the Apple's security guide , the security of the iOS operating system, the repeated password entry to activate biometric unlock sensors may be required in several cases:

• Biometric sensors were not used within 8 hours;
• The password was not used within 6 days;
• The device was unlocked for 48 hours;

At the same time, a similar message can appear on other, older IPhone versions due to the incorrect operation of biometric sensors when unlocking the device. What exactly happened during the Apple special event is unknown.
