Ufa authorities did not approve the rally “In Defense of the Bashkir Language”

The Ufa City Hall did not agree on the rally "In defense of the Bashkir language" of the public organization "Bashkort", reports the portal "Gorobzor.ru" with reference to the press service of the city administration.

The authorities proposed to postpone the event from September 16 to September 24 and instead of the Sports Palace Square, hold it near the City Cultural and Leisure Center. The administration claims that another public event is already scheduled for the specified time.

The deputy chairman of Bashkort, Ruslan Gabbasov, said that the organization was not going to change the time and place of the rally: “We did not receive a notification. We plan that at least 500 people will become participants.”

In response, the mayor's office stated that holding an uncoordinated event is an administrative offense, and participants will be punished in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offenses.
