In Chelyabinsk, Navalny's supporters and Stop GOK activists were summoned for questioning

In Chelyabinsk, volunteers from Navalny’s headquarters and participants in the “Stop GOK” environmental movement were summoned for questioning by law enforcement agencies. This was reported by Rosbalt with reference to an activist from the headquarters of Boris Zolotarevsky.

He said that on September 13, employees of the Center for Combating Extremism came to Navalny’s local headquarters and handed him a summons for questioning. Zolotarevsky noted that two activists of the “Stop GOK” movement received the same documents.

According to Rosbalt, the summonses for questioning are related to the recent detention of one of the co-chairs of the regional branch of PARNAS and an activist of the Stop GOK movement, Gamil Asatullin. He is suspected of attempted arson: police believe that Asatullin tried to throw a Molotov cocktail at the Tominsky GOK.

The activist was charged with hooliganism (Part 1 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code), committed “based on political and ideological hatred.” Participants of “Stop GOK” believe that what happened was a provocation.

On September 13, the court extended Asatullin’s detention for three days.
