Flagship Samsung Galaxy Note 8 entered the market

On September 15, Samsung began selling the flagship smartphone Galaxy Note 8, which was introduced on August 23. According to Ferra , sales of Note 8 started in 42 countries, including the USA, Canada, Singapore, Korea and a number of European countries. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is available in five colors: black, gold, lilac-gray, blue and pink, but not all of them are available for order yet. In the US, the Galaxy Note 8 costs $930 without a carrier contract and comes with either the Gear 360 camera or a 128GB storage card and wireless charging kit. In the European market, the Note 8 costs 999 euros with the Samsung DeX dock included. In Russia, Note 8 will go on sale on September 22 at a price of 69,990 rubles.

Let us remind you that the Galaxy Note 8 received a 6.3-inch diagonal SuperAMOLED display curved at the edges, which occupies almost the entire front surface of the smartphone. Like the Samsung Galaxy S8, Note 8, intended for the US market, is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, and the international version of the device is equipped with a proprietary Exynos 8895 chip. The amount of RAM is an impressive 6 GB, and the built-in memory is 64 GB. Note 8 also received a slot for microSD memory cards and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Galaxy Note 8 became the first flagship Samsung smartphone to be equipped with a dual main camera, including wide-angle and telephoto sensors with a resolution of 12 megapixels and an optical stabilization system that provide 2x optical zoom. The front camera of the smartphone has a resolution of 8 megapixels. The device also supports the proprietary Bixby voice assistant, the power button of which is located on the side.

Earlier it became known that former and current owners of Note 7 smartphones will be able to purchase Note 8 with a discount of up to $425. The size of the discount will depend on the condition of the returned device. The few Note 7 owners who have not returned their smartphones as part of the smartphone recall campaign should return them to Samsung for evaluation, while those who got rid of their Note 7 a long time ago need to provide the company with the email address provided when returning the smartphone.
