Relatives and friends of abducted Renat Paralamov detained in Simferopol were released

The Crimean Tatars, who came to the FSB building to support Renat Paralamov, who the day before reported about the kidnapping and beating by security forces, were released from the police. The police departments did not draw up any protocols on the activists, however, the police tried to take fingerprints from some of the detainees, as well as saliva for DNA samples.

On September 13, representatives of law enforcement agencies detained and took away in an unknown direction the organizer of holidays and religious events, Renat Paralamov. Before that, a search was conducted in his house in the Crimean village of Nizhnegorsky. He managed to contact his relatives only the next day. When Paralamov got in touch with relatives, he was at the Simferopol bus station. Soon he was brought in a serious condition to hospital No. 6 in Simferopol.

Later, Renat Paralamov told the Crimea. Realii” about the torture that the security forces used on him. On September 13, when the FSB officers took Paralamov away from home, they put a bag over his head. It was removed only on the afternoon of September 14th. All this time, the man was hit, his hands were tied with adhesive tape, and they gave discharges with bare wires. When Paralamov lost consciousness, he was doused with cold water.
