Narcos scout killed in Mexico

Location scout Carlos Muñoz Portal has been killed in Mexico while scouting locations for the fourth season of Narcos. Portal's body, with gunshot wounds, was found in a car on a road in the state of Mexico, near the border of the state of Hidalgo.

A friend of the deceased told the Spanish newspaper El Pais that Portal was going to take photos from the filming location of the series.

Mexico State Attorney's Office said there were no witnesses to the murder.

Netflix, which produces the TV series Narcos, has released a statement of condolences to the family of the deceased.
