On the evening of September 16, police detained two volunteers from the campaign headquarters of Alexei Navalny in Volgograd. This is reported by the "Caucasian Knot".
The young people were detained while handing out leaflets and newspapers. They were taken to the police department and released after about two hours, the publication reports, citing Roman Zaitsev, a lawyer at the headquarters.
Protocols for volunteers were not drawn up. At the police department, they were told that they were detained "to make sure your parents are aware of what you are doing." The mother of one of the volunteers came to the department and said that she was aware of what her son was doing.
