A volunteer from Alexei Navalny’s headquarters was detained in Chelyabinsk

In Chelyabinsk on September 17, employees of the Center for Countering Extremism detained Boris Zolotarevsky, a volunteer at Alexei Navalny’s election headquarters. This was reported on the page “Team Navalny | Chelyabinsk" on the social network "VKontakte".

Zolotarevsky, according to his associates, was detained when he was returning from Yekaterinburg after a meeting with Navalny. He is charged with organizing an unapproved event (Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code).

According to the publication Znak, Zolotarevsky was one of the co-organizers of the rally against the Tominsky mining and processing plant, which the Chelyabinsk authorities refused to approve . Currently, a hearing is about to begin in the Central District Court of Chelyabinsk in the Zolotarevsky case. Before this, the activist was in the Central District police department.
