In Yekaterinburg, on September 16, four participants in a protest against an illegal dump were detained. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
Four people handcuffed themselves to a rope that was stretched near the entrance to the dump site. They were taken to the police department, but released after a preventive conversation. The deputy head of the press service of the regional police department, Nina Pelevina, whose words are quoted by the agency, explained that the protesters were released and “were not even fined,” “because they stopped their actions with the arrival of police officers.”
