The Central District Court of Chelyabinsk fined Boris Zolotarevsky, a volunteer of the local campaign headquarters of Alexei Navalny, one of the organizers of an uncoordinated rally against the construction of the Tominsky mining and processing plant, 25 thousand rubles. this Sergey Belogorokhov, an activist of the Stop GOK movement, announced in a video posted on his page on the VKontakte social network.
Zolotarevsky was detained by employees of the Center for Combating Extremism when he was returning from Yekaterinburg from Navalny's rally. The activist was taken to the police department of the Central District of Chelyabinsk and a protocol was drawn up on the organization of an unapproved event (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
Local authorities refused to agree on a rally against the construction of the plant, instead, opponents of the construction gathered in the city center on the Scarlet Field with balloons. One of the founders of the “Stop GOK” movement, Yuri Cherkasov, was detained at the rally, he was taken for interrogation in the case of an attempt to set fire to the plant’s property, one of the defendants in which is the movement’s activist Gamil Asatullin.
