The Volgograd Regional Court upheld house arrest for the coordinator of Navalny's local headquarters, Alexei Volkov, who is accused of rehabilitating Nazism for a picture with a monument to Motherland in greenery. This was reported on Volkov's twitter - the account is maintained by the staff of the headquarters.
“Decision: keep in place, allow communication with defenders (this was not in the previous version),” the message says. The defense offered to release Volkov on bail in the amount of the maximum fine under the article imputed to him - 300 thousand rubles.
The headquarters coordinator is charged under Part 3 of Art. 354.1 of the Criminal Code (public desecration of the symbol of Russian military glory). On August 31, Volkov was placed under house arrest. Before that, he was under house arrest, but left for Moscow. According to Volkov, the investigator verbally allowed him to travel.
