
The US Senate approved the draft law on the budget for the needs of national defense for 2018, which is supposed to allocate $ 500 million to support Ukraine in the field of security and defense. This was reported by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

The draft law authorizes the provision of fatal weapons of defense in Ukraine. It also includes provisions that allow the use of the US defense budget for rehabilitation needs in American medical institutions of the wounded Ukrainian military, as well as to strengthen the air and naval forces of Ukraine.
"For the first time at the legislative level, it is proposed to provide Ukraine with such defensive funds: radar equipment for air defense and observation of the surface situation, naval anti -minor means, coastal ships and coastal protection," Poroshenko wrote.
