I am a volunteer of the election campaign of Alexei Navalny, and in general a famous public figure in Tambov. And it sometimes plays evil jokes with me.
On September 5, I walked after work and distributed campaign newspapers of Navalny along the way. It so happened that my path passed near the action in honor of the anniversary of our city. It was conducted by activists of the “Young Guard” as part of the election campaign of a candidate for deputies from the United Russia party.
People began to come before the start of this event, and some of them took newspapers from me. After I stood there for 5 minutes, and was about to leave, I was caught up by two PPS employees. They stopped me, but they did not explain the reasons for the detention and were not going to let go. At the same time, employees constantly called up with someone-as if they had consulted what to do next with me.
An hour later they asked me to go into the car. Then the district police officer arrived, with whom they decided that there would be enough explanatory in this situation. While I wrote it, Unitedos familiar to me approached the car and called the district police officer somewhere. I drew attention to the fact that they record something.
I stayed in the PPS car for another one and a half hours - until the action of the "Young Guard" was over. After me, they took to the supporting point of the police No. 2. There I found out that I had committed petty hooliganism.
In fact, it did not surprise me at all - in a similar way I was already “hooligan”. Local unicorns, with the support of “witnesses” from the “Young Guard”, already wrote denunciations to me that I supposedly “cursed obscenities and waving my hands”. After that case, I was fined one thousand rubles. Later, a similar situation was repeated: only other people wrote the complaint, and the punishment was stricter - I was arrested for a day.
I spent all the next evening and night in the police department. The next day I was appointed a court. During him, the local activist Julia Zhmayeva said that I scolded her with friends from the “Young Guard” due to the fact that they asked me that I was distributing for newspapers.
In addition to her and the policeman who made the protocol on me, there were no witnesses. The judge refused to invite the patrolmen who detained me, and attach to the case the video that I did in the process of communicating with them. Based on all this, the accusations seemed logical and reasonable, and my excuses are just an attempt to evade responsibility. The result - 8 days of arrest. In general, the scheme has already worked three times. The bunch of “United Russia - Police - Court” works like a clock!
