The Kirovsky District Court of Astrakhan fined two students of the Astrakhan Medical University, D. Salavatov and N. Magomedov, 80,000 rubles each. They were found guilty under article 205.6 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (failure to report a crime). This is reported by Interfax.
According to investigators, the students communicated with the combatants as part of an illegal armed formation (IAF), in particular in Syria, some of whom had previously studied with them at the university, and then left Russia to participate in hostilities as part of an organization banned in Russia " Islamic State,” the agency was told in the FSB department for the region.
According to Interfax, these criminal cases were investigated by the investigative department of the FSB of Russia in the Astrakhan region. It is noted that both defendants pleaded guilty in full, so the criminal cases were considered in a special order.
According to the interlocutor of the agency, two more similar cases are being considered by the Kirovsky District Court of Astrakhan.
Recall that the first sentence in Russia under the article on non-information from the “Yarovaya package” was issued by the Kirovsky District Court of Astrakhan in February 2017.
The court found Ulukbek Gafurov, a resident of Astrakhan, guilty under Article 205.6 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and ordered him to pay a fine of 70,000 rubles.
