How the polar Cossacks are fighting with the Gentiles and their idols, and the zealous pop turns to the Orthodox faith of the children of the Nenets

On the avatar of the chieftain Akulov is a cartoon hero and a slogan "I will break any holy face in Rus'." Akulov is ataman not somewhere in the warm Kuban, but in the polar Naryan-Mar. He heads the Arctic Cossack Circle.

The Akulovsky Cossacks in the Nenets district are not the only ones. In the neighborhood, in the area of ​​Pustozersk, competitors live - “Pustozersky village”, whose members at first called themselves “Pustozersky Cossack Circle”, but after short discussions reduced a degree. But if you concede, then only to your Cossack brothers. Otherwise, the emptyzers are implacable to the enemies of faith and the Fatherland.

This year, for some reason, the Nenets idols were installed in a deserted place near Pustozersk for some reason. The idols were declared a sacred war under the favorable gaze of the local bishop Jacob, who is irreconcilable to paganism as an apostle.

The sculptural group, on which the Cossacks took up, is called "Habidi Ten" - "sacred memory." It was established in memory of the ancestors of all Nenets clans, in different years executed in this very place. Irina Khanzerova, journalist, author of the sketch of the monument and vice president of the Nenets Association "Yasavei", says:

- Pustozersk was founded in the territories of the old Nenets settlements. Naturally, the Nenets were not going to give them and stormed the city several times. They were caught and executed on a larch cape - there were many larch. In total, about a thousand Nenets were hanged. Over time, the larch there were transferred there, and Cape began to be called gallonic. There we in 1999 erected a monument. At that time, there was no diocese here, but there was a priest who built the cathedral in the center of Naryan-Mar. The temple was erected from larch, and it allocated us several logs for the manufacture of the monument. There was no religious hatred. There was memory and mutual respect.

According to Irina, mutual respect went to decline with the formation of the Naryan-Mar diocese, at which Bishop Jacob, carried away by the idea of ​​missionaries, was put at the head of which 5 years ago.

- Paganism - our faith - he does not consider religion, having come to our last meeting, he generally stated that he grew up only with the Orthodox. He claims that the pagans are savages that make human sacrifices, ”Irina complains.

In August, she met with an exotic occasion: in the district administration they tried to reconcile them after the appearance of publication at one of the Arkhangelsk resources under the heading of the Barents Secretary against Orthodoxy. The author argued that international organizations and journalists, under the guise of helping the indigenous peoples, are organized in the Arctic "Religious Maidan". After reading this opus, I would like to immediately provide qualified assistance to the author, but, oddly enough, not doctors, but the Chekists reacted to him. In the text, Irina’s performance at the traditional spring meeting of the Barents Region journalists was retold, where Khanzerova narrated about the religious conflict in the NAO. According to the author of Pasquil, the purpose of such statements is no more or less than the “conclusion from the Russian sovereignty of the Northern Sea Route”.

True, the Northern Sea Route somehow does not bother Irina. The mass baptism of Nenets children, which Vladyka Jacob started in a boarding school, is more concerned. Tundra children spend every school year there, but earlier the school was separated from the church.

- This year, I know for sure, eight children 7-8 years old from the Yamba TO community baptized. There are one hundred percent pagans. What can be a conscious change of faith at this age? Father Jacob answered the question of this: "Baptized to cleanse the souls." So we have black souls? Or did he confuse himself with God?

The director of the boarding school Lyudmila Panshina, whom the “new” asked the question of baptism, her answer. According to her, a wave of suicides overwhelmed them a few years ago. They turned to the church in the hope of help. He says it helped. According to Lyudmila, baptism is carried out only voluntarily.

Khanzerova did not work out the conversation with the bishop: Father Jacob said that he would answer only when he would be addressed respectfully: “Vladyko”. And Irina - that he is free to demand from his flock, to which she does not belong.

Bishop Jacob is a demanding person. During the August Jubilee Flight to the North Pole on the icebreaker “50 years of Victory”, he became the most memorable person, recommending the passenger to the passenger inscription Tokio on the T -shirt to replace the inscription “Vologda”, the North American landscape in the cabin - with the types of Suzdal, and the songs of the disgrace Makarevich, which sounded on the hearing radio, for more. patriotic vine or Cossack choir.

At home, the bishop does not allow itself to be particularly religious. On the website of the diocese, you can find a whole selection of texts illustrating an unequal struggle with the Shaman of Kolya from Vaigach, who held some rites in the Legislation of St. Petersburg. In history, everything is fine-even the fact that the parliament was invited by the Nikolai deputy communist. After that, the uniform deputy Milonov convened a meeting of the control group, putting on the agenda the question "On the undermining of the authority of the Legislative Assembly in connection with the holding of a religious rite." The “Communists of Russia” stood up for Kolya, calling him the “informal leader of the Nenets proletariat”. That ended.

It is more difficult to agree with the Nenets Cossacks than with Kolya. Moreover, the conflict between the Cossacks and the indigenous population is ancient: the region was once populated by the Cossacks, who ousted the Nenets clans from the ragged places. The confrontation was long and bloody. In one way or another, his echo is heard now. Modern Cossacks this year were typed on the Habidi Ten monument: "The idols are cursed, the holy God." According to Irina Khanzerova, they promised to return and cut down idols. In response, the Nenets wrote a statement to the FSB, comparing such threats with the destruction of the Orthodox crosses: for example, on Lenin Square in Naryan-Mar (the bishop stubbornly calls her Epiphany) is such a cross. If someone threatened him to destroy, it was hardly a reaction of fighters with extremism that would make themselves wait.

Meanwhile, the Nenets are ready to be on duty near their shrine. The sanctuary is a monument to the departed. A tambourine with the inscription was attached to the sculpture: “In memory of our ancestors, who defended their right to the original lands, in memory of all the departed generations of the Nenets ...” The Nenets are ready to protect their original lands now.
