The owner of Binbank turned to the Central Bank with a request for a reorganization. This was stated in the press service of the regulator, reports Interfax .

The main owner of Binbank is Mikail Shishkhanov. Sources of RBC claim that until recently, the shareholders of the financial organization tried to agree with the Central Bank and correct the situation with the sale of assets.
In Binbank, later on September 20, they confirmed the “active negotiation stage” with the Central Bank, RNS reports . The bank also decided to elect Shishkhanov as chairman of the board of directors.
“Earlier, I did not calculate the business lines, the problems of“ Bank's growth ”, taken for reorganization, and the“ MDM Bank ”turned out to be much more serious than it was supposed in the conditions of the falling market and the current economic situation,” Shishkhanov himself commented on the situation.
Earlier on September 20, the Vedomosti newspaper, citing sources, wrote that on Thursday, September 21, the Central Bank may announce the reorganization of Binbank. Shishkhanov refused comments on this subject, and in Binbank he emphasized that they work as usual and surprised by the publication.
Two days before Vedomosti, it became known that in August the state -owned companies made a third of their deposits - more than 12 billion rubles in Binbank. The volume of deposits of individuals also decreased - by 3.6%.
