Violetta Grudin, the coordinator of Alexei Navalny's headquarters in Murmansk, was charged with an administrative case because of a campaign cube held on August 12 in the city. Grudina reported this to the OVD-Info hotline.
The decision refers to part 2 of article 20.2 (organization or holding of a public event without filing a notice of its holding). According to Grudina, she is accused of holding an uncoordinated rally, although the event was held in Hyde Park, so it did not require coordination with the number of participants up to 250 people. At the same time, the police and the administration believe that the Hyde Park rule does not apply to campaign cubes.
Today, September 21, the district police officer brought a summons to Grudina, after which she went with him to the nearest police stronghold, where a protocol was drawn up against her. She was then informed that the case would soon be taken to court. Earlier, Grudin was already summoned in this case to give explanations.
On August 18, Violetta Grudin was already charged with an administrative offense for distributing newspapers. On July 7, the activist was summoned to the police to give explanations about the propaganda newspapers confiscated from the cargo carrier.
