A few years ago, when the process of disaggregation of dioceses and the emergence of new departments began, the voices of skeptics were heard that this would weaken the church economy, reduce the authority of the bishops, etc.

I did not support this skepticism, because I clearly saw in this process a flat in this process: the development of church life and the growth of the authority of the Holy of Holy.

A year ago, Borisoglebsky land was decorated with the light of bishop dignity. And in such a short time, the changes have occurred that I would like to call wonderful.

New parishes opened and opened, temples are landscaped, the pulse of church life has become more frequent, the believer of people communicates with his lord, and new parishioners were replenished to the church.

All these are the works and prayers of Vladyka Sergius (Kopylov), Bishop of Borisoglebsky and Buturlinovsky and his cooperatives - priests. All this is the love and zeal of parishioners. All this is the care of the authorities and business people.

The developing diocese needs developed priests. Therefore, a three-day seminar-marathon was arranged with lectures of conversations about the history of the Church in the twentieth century and about the lessons of 1917.

Vladyka blessed to speak out without censorship. I had a fear that the priests would beat for this. But they failed with questions and surrounded with attention.
