The volume of withdrawals from B&N Bank decreased after the Bank of Russia announced the reorganization of the credit institution. “The stabilization of the situation is confirmed by the dynamics of the last day: the volume of withdrawals from Binbank decreased three times compared to yesterday. At the same time, the number of customer calls to our contact center decreased five times per day. Many depositors who yesterday ordered large sums of money by phone today called back and canceled their orders on the positive news about the bank,” said the chairman of the bank’s board, Evgeniy Davydovich, as quoted by the organization’s press service.

The bank’s clients understand that they have no reason to worry, Davydovich is sure, because “the support of the Central Bank allows us to ensure the continuity of B&N Bank’s activities.”

In total, in September, clients took 56 billion rubles from B&N Bank, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Vasily Pozdyshev said today. “Compared to the previous situation - with Otkritie - the bank has a deficit, but it is not so significant. The question is how long it will last,” Interfax quoted him as saying. One third of this amount comes from the funds of individuals, two thirds from legal entities, he noted.

According to him, the outflow of customer funds mainly concerns B&N Bank; all other banks of the group have a slight impact on the liquidity situation. “Binbank has many sources of liquidity, they are different, it’s not just the Central Bank. <...> If during the day they cannot collect funds from the market, then we will support them with liquidity,” Pozdyshev added.

Today it was announced the financial recovery of the Binbank banking group through the Banking Sector Consolidation Fund. A temporary administration has been introduced at B&N Bank and Rost Bank.
