
The Leninsky District Court of Ufa placed the administrative arrest for five days Amir Tuigunov, reports Prufu.ru. The day before, he acted as the host of the rally for the resignation of the head of Bashkiria Rustem Khamitov.
Tuigunov was found guilty under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (disobedience to the legal requirements of the police officer). The night before, the police detained him at the end of the action. The authorities refused to coordinate the rally. At the same time, the organizers considered the campaign agreed, since the refusal was received later than the deadline provided by law.
The night before, Tuigunov was taken to the OP "Leninsky" Ufa, along with his lawyer Kamil Mukhametdinov. The Leninsky District Court found the lawyer guilty under the same article and arrested Mukhametdinov for seven days.
According to Tuigunov himself, during the detention to him, physical strength was applied. The police twisted his hands, although the activist did not resist. Tuigunov said that he had only rested his hands when he was placed on the bus, as he demanded the presence of a lawyer. "When I was dragged, the police officer still shouted that I was supposedly had a knife. Of course, there was no knife. Otherwise, it would be recorded in the protocol," the detainee said. He added that in the court the video recording of the detention was provided without sound, and said that he intended to challenge the decision of the district judge in the Supreme Court of Bashkiria.
On Wednesday of Ufa, about 700 people gathered for a disagreed rally for the resignation of the head of Bashkiria. In this case, the previous action for the resignation of Khamitov, which took place on July 20, gathered only a little more, from 800 to 1000 people, despite the fact that the officials agreed on it.
The rally was arranged by civil activists with the support of the Congress of the Bashkir people, the community of deceived equity holders and sports organizations. About a dozen speakers performed for the rally. They announced environmental problems, in particular related to the construction of the Kronoshpan plant , protested against the abolition of the mandatory study of the Bashkir language in schools, and criticized the growth of tariffs for housing and communal services.
In the resolution of the rally, read by the leader of the Union of Bashkir Public Associations "Arҡadash", one of the leaders of the Congress of the Bashkir people Valiakhmet Badretdinov, was a demand not only to remove Hamitov from his post, but also to hold him liable. Demonstrators also demanded that the Bashkiria government be resigned and stop the plunder of the region.
Police initially interfered with the rally, however, not making attempts to accelerate and detention. In the future, they stopped interfering with the audience. However, at the end of the rally, the seven participants were detained. Among the detainees are Rakhmatov, Badretdinov, Tuigunov and activist Ramil Saitov.
