Shcherbakov was free after 48 hours of detention.
The day before, at a full -time headquarters, Lyaskin could not identify Shcherbakov as an attacker. On September 15, Lyaskin was attacked , when he, along with the volunteer, Artem Suscyakov, left the headquarters building on Gilyarovsky Street north of the garden ring to pick up campaign newspapers from the car. The unknown, approaching from behind, inflicted two blows to the chief of staff with a steel pipe. The first blow fell on the head, the second - on the shoulder. Then the attacker threw a pipe into the opposition and ran away. According to Lyaskin, after the attack, he came to the phone SMS message with the word "performed".
At the Sklifosovsky Institute, Lyaskin was diagnosed with a closed traumatic brain injury, a concussion, as well as a bruise and an abrasion of soft tissues of the occipital region. The victim refused hospitalization.
The police opened the case under Part 1 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism), which provides for up to 5 years of the colony. Meanwhile, Lyaskin himself appealed to the TFR demanding to re -qualify the case to Article 277 of the Criminal Code (an encroachment on the life of a state or public figure), the sanction of which is from 12 years to the death penalty. The Corruption Foundation supported the position of a functionary.
On Tuesday, it became known that Shcherbakov was detained on suspicion of attacking Lyaskin. According to the source of Interfax, a suspect of 36 years, he is a native of the Leningrad region, he was previously convicted, and was also observed by a psychiatrist.
