In Moscow, on the "Alley of the rulers", which is located in the courtyard of the Museum of Military Form of the Russian Military Historical Society (RVIO), a bust of Joseph Stalin and other leaders of the Soviet Union was established.

In total, seven busts have appeared on the Alley of the rulers today. Among them are monuments to Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin, Nikita Khrushchev, Leonid Brezhnev, Yuri Andropov, Konstantin Chernenko, Mikhail Gorbachev. The authorship of all monuments belongs to Zuraba Tsereteli.

“You just mentioned your repressed relatives.” When you worked on the monument to Stalin, did this knowledge not interfere?

Tsereteli: you know what, I leave the monuments. For me, what is the weather now, your smile and love for the earth, this. A lot depends on what eyes to watch ... What happened - happened. I am for a healthy body and a healthy mind.

- And personal?

- So what? I did my job. He set his sculpture, and the grandmothers cried with joy that they ( the leaders of the country - ed. ) Did not leave life, but they were standing.

- Grandmothers who came to the monuments to look?

- Well, what about the grandfather. 37th year-but he is standing, he has not passed away ...

- You were Stalin when you sculpted, what did you think about?

- To make it look. And what to think about? I have passed ethnography, I know the historical archive, all the facts. Therefore, yesterday they scolded, they hug tomorrow.

Vladimir Zhirinovsky:

- For God's sake, let everyone put it. We must put everyone! Who held the leading posts is the history of the country. So that schoolchildren come here. Censorship should not be. Let them talk, let the artists create, let Serebrennikov does not sit at home, but goes to the theater, drive him into the center of Gogol, let him not get out of there. The Mongols put Genghis Khan - behind him 40 million destroyed people. Let the Germans decide Hitler themselves. And we give everyone. Put everyone! - This is my personal opinion, but the people want. Everyone has their own idol. After all, we do not force to go there. Well, don't go, don't look. It was, and people want. Let it be their lifestyle. He will come, put flowers, remember something.

- Do you refuse your opinion?

- It is dangerous to erect, but it is impossible to demolish the monuments and destroy. We do not say that this was the best person, but it was. Let everyone come to his bust.

- And what kind of “your” will you have?

- I already have mine.

- And of these?

- The era was the best Brezhnevskaya. I have two apartments and two cars.

Stanislav Govorukhin, director:

- I have the most disgusting attitude towards Stalin, including personal, but this does not mean that he must be deleted from history. I have not seen my father. So I have my own account to these characters, but this does not mean that we must rewrite history.

According to Ceretheli, the Moscow Agency, also on the "Alai of the rulers" it was planned to establish a bust of the first president of Russia Boris Yeltsin. As Tsereteli explained, the monument is already ready, but its installation was postponed to the first of February - on the birthday of the former president.

Recall that in May, 33 busts of Russian rulers since Rurik, including Tsar Ivan the Terrible, opened 33 busts of Russian rulers.
