According to the results of the June elections, the most united block of three ultranationalist parties scored the largest number of votes (35%). For the fact that he was created by three former field commander of the war with Serbia, he received the unofficial name “Battle Wing”.
Immediately after summing up the voting results, the leaders of the “fighting wing” declared their victory and the desire to create a strong government of the national revival. But it wasn’t there. Of the 120 deputy places, nationalists could only count on 39, which clearly did not pull on the qualified majority.
In parliament, attempts to pose on the vote the question of constituting the legislative and executive branches of the authorities failed to vote four times. In Primetin, they have already talked about the need for new early elections. However, the "battle wing" did not give up. Representatives of the nationalist parties conducted stubborn backstage negotiations with deputies from other parties, promising someone ministerial portfolios, otherwise hinting at the opportunity to compromise them in case of refusal.
The efforts were not in vain. Small parties of ethnic minorities agreed to enter the coalition with nationalists (including the Serbian list representing the interests of the Serbs living in Kosovo), for which 20 mandates were reserved in parliament on an ongoing basis.
But even after that, before the required number of votes, there were not enough votes quite a bit.
The consent of the Alliance for the New Kosovo (ANC) was decisive to support the “combat wing”.
Ank is not a beginner on the Kosovo political stage. The party was created in 2006 by the entrepreneur Behjet Patsoli. In Russia, his name is well known in connection with a loud scandal.
Patsolli Mabetex registered in Switzerland in the early 90s received a favorable contract for large-scale updating and restoration of a number of historical buildings in the Russian capital, including the Senate Corps in the Kremlin. Upon completion of work, the Swiss prosecutors suspected that Mabetex was not without corruption. In relation to the company and some senior Russian officials, an investigation began, within the framework of which foreign accounts of the former officials of Russian President Pavel Borodin were arrested. Moreover, he himself was detained during a visit to the United States at the request of the Switzerland prosecutor's office, and he even spent about a month in a Swiss prison.
Later, the case was closed behind the insufficiency of evidence, the charges were removed from the suspects, and Patsoli began a political career. Its peak can be called that in 2011 he became president of Kosovo. True, his presidency lasted a little over a month. As compensation for early exemption from the duties of the head of state, Patsoli was appointed the first deputy prime minister of the government.
In the current Kosovo parliament, the Patsoli party received four mandates, which, their own speaking, made a coalition led by the “fighting wing”. In return, according to local sources, the head of Mabetex requested five ministerial posts for the ANC, and for himself personally - the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The new government of Kosovo expectedly headed by Ramush Haradinay, the leader of the party "Alliance for the Future of Kosovo" (ABK). In the middle of the zero, he was already a prime minister. Due to the investigation of the International Military Crimes in the former Yugoslavia, Haradine voluntarily resigned his authority and went to the Hague.
The sad glory of one of the most cruel Kosovo field commanders was firmly entrenched in Haradine.
He created by him the Comandos “Black Eagles” was involved in numerous ethnic cleansing of the Serbs. Personally, Haradinina was accused of 37 criminal episodes. Twice he appeared before the international court, but both times was justified for unprovenness - the witnesses either suddenly died or abandoned their testimony.
Now the new prime minister promises to establish a constructive dialogue with Belgrade on the problem of northern territories inhabited mainly by ethnic Serbs. The normalization of relations with Serbia is from Brussels one of the prerequisites that in the future, Priestin can hope for associated membership in the European Union. The first step should be a visa -free regime for Kosovars, which, by the way, was the main election slogan Haradinina.
Only the question remains open - are they ready to talk with the current Kosovo prime minister in Belgrade? In Serbia, Haradina is still considered a war criminal, and in the country there is an arrest warrant against him. In addition, the Serbian authorities regularly submit it on the international wanted list.
