Detentions of people who came to the action "Anticapitalism 2017" began in Moscow. Near the Chekhovskaya metro station, the police detained Left Bloc activists Vasily Kuzmin and Vitaly Vorobyov, as well as Left Front activist Alexei Vorontsov. This was reported to the OVD-Info hotline by several eyewitnesses.
Earlier, the mayor's office did not agree on the action "Anticapitalism 2017", which was planned in the format of a march.
According to Ivan Solovyov, an activist of the Left Bloc, Kuzmin and others were detained when the activists left the underground passage of the metro station. They did not have any symbols, the police did not explain their actions in any way, Solovyov claims. According to the representative of the press service of the Left Bloc, Anna Evchenko, Kuzmin was pointed out by an FSB operative, known by the nickname Lesha Smile.
According to human rights activist Eduard Rudyk, about ten people have already been detained, including Sergei Udaltsov and member of the United Communist Party Vladimir Lakeev. People are detained immediately when they approach Pushkinskaya Square, from where it was planned to start the march.
As Oleg Mokryakov told OVD-Info, the leader of the Other Russia, Eduard Limonov, and four other activists of this unregistered party were also among the detainees.
Denis Sommer, a member of the United Communist Party, an assistant to Duma deputy Sergei Shargunov, was also detained, OVD-Info was told on a hotline.
