The Bell: VIM-Avia’s debts were paid only for two days of flights

The creditors paid for VIM-Avia flights only until noon on September 25th. Such an agreement, according to The Bell from unnamed sources, was reached on Saturday, September 23.

Financing, according to the publication, was provided by structures close to the government of Tatarstan, the government itself and the Zenit bank close to it. This is due to the fact that VIM-Avia is registered in the republic.

In addition, on September 21, the airline turned to Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich for support, after which the request was submitted to the Ministry of Transport. The Bell sources believe that even with support, the company can only continue flights until October in an optimistic scenario.

According to The Bell, VIM-Avia has sold 100,000 tickets in the coming months.

• On September 23, it became known about the delay of VIM-Avia flights from Moscow Domodedovo Airport. This is due to the debt to pay for fuel and airport services.
• Then it became known that the airline paid off its debts, and 19 delayed flights were due to fly the next day. But on September 24, VIM-Avia flights began to be delayed again.
• VIM-Avia has been ranked 10th in Russia in terms of the number of passengers carried since the beginning of 2017.
