On September 25, the Kalashnikov Concern presented a prototype of a passenger copter - a vehicle that resembles a flying hybrid of a car and a motorcycle.
“The demonstrator is currently undergoing testing. Soon we will demonstrate the practical application of this device,” Sofia Ivanova, the concern’s communications director, told RIA Novosti .
Judging by the published video of the test flight, conducted in the presence of Rostec head Sergei Chemezov, the device is designed like an octocopter, equipped with 16 electric motors and is capable of lifting an adult into the air. To control the flight, the pilot uses special joysticks located in front of the seat.
Any characteristics of the device are not specified, as well as the approximate dates for the appearance of the first production samples.
Note that this is not the only Russian development of its kind. So, in February of this year, the Hover Surf company introduced an improved version of its Scorpion 3 hoverbike.
